Pirelli Sport-Demon vs Bridgestone BT45 I've been given quote for these 2 sets of tyres for my ZZR-250. They both cost less than $300(front.

I second the Bridgestones. I'm running a 130-80-18 on the rear and a 100-90-19 on the front. Although I'm not quite comfortable knee-dragging the bike, I've gotten the bike pretty low with no problem.

I can't comment on the tread wear or wet weather performance, they do seem to be on the softer compound side with plenty of channels for rain. The Dunlops that I have on my other K6 are more of a cruising tire designed more for mileage. Being that the BT45's are softer, they bite in when braking as well. The Dunlops and other tires I've had like to lock the brakes up earlier causing slight skidding.I would recommend the BT45's, (also know as Battalax's). I've got a Metzeler ME22 on the front of my 400F and a Metzeler ME77 on the rear. WAAAAAY wider than stock, but they do OK. When time comes to replace, I'm thinking of the Avon Roadrunner, which come narrow enough for the old bikes.
It's a tubeless design, but American Moto Tire recommended it for the narrow rims we have, and it will accept tubes. Mounted a set on the GF's 360, which runs the same size tires as the 400F and am VERY impressed with them. For the 750, I don't think you can beat the Dunlop K81/TT100.
Wow; thanks for all the responses so far. I'm not sure which tire I'm going to go with yet, but all the feedback so far has been immensely helpful. As an aside, I am also in the process of completing the dual disc setup, and have gotten my rotors cross drilled by ElCheapo (good man and did a great job on my rotors-highly recommended). I was leaning towards the Pirelli Sport Demons, but the guy at American Moto Tire was really selling the Metz Lasertec's. Then the Battleax's were recommended too.
Hmm, still deciding.
